Yes, you will be recognised as an NHS patient.

The service is consultant led. Your consultant will see you at your outpatient consultation and perform your surgical procedure (should one be clinically required).

The Manchester Surgical Services administration team is responsible for ensuring your GP or any other relevant health care professional receives prompt information regarding your episode of care.

In case of an emergency situation:

You should call 999. This might mean that you are experiencing unexplained significant bleeding or severe/acute pain.

Should you experience a complication related to your treatment that you feel warrants urgent attention:

Attend your local Accident and Emergency Department/Urgent Care Centre.

Should you develop any other problems following your discharge please contact:

Your own General Practitioner by appointment.
NHS 111 (for advice out of hours).
MSS office – 0161 523 8720 (Mon – Fri 8:30 -5:00).

Should you develop any issues following your procedure, and have to attend any of the above services, please notify the MSS office on the number provided to ensure the episode is recorded in your medical records. 0161 523 8720
